Holy Trinity, Embleton

Welcome to Holy Trinity! Whether you are local, a regular holidaymaker, or you are visiting the village for the first time - you are most welcome here.

At Holy Trinity we are always looking at ways to engage with our local community and enjoy hosting services and events throughout the year. We are keen to help where we can and, when needed, we can rally support for causes and charities that matter to us. For example, we have been collecting and donating items to go out to support those living in Ukraine and for refugees arriving in the UK. Over the winter months we set up a ‘Warm Hub’ that provides a hot lunch and friendly company to anybody to access. Not forgetting our weekly coffee pot, Mandell’s Cafe, on a Wednesday morning!

We also enjoy a strong link with Embleton Vincent Edwards CofE Primary School who visit the church regularly for worship and lessons, as well as seeing a member of the clergy each week for Collective Worship. We always welcome enquiries for baptisms and weddings at Holy Trinity and we’d love to make your special day a happy and beautiful celebration.

Our building is situated at the south end of the village next to Embleton Tower and Creighton Hall. It is a Grade 1 listed building with origins dating to the early 12th century. We also have the Parish Room which we use for all sorts of events and gatherings. Recently we were able to invite people from across the Coastland Churches to our first ‘9 Churches Together’ service, this was a great success and more services are being planned.

There is lots going on in and around Holy Trinity. The church is open daily and toilet facilities are available in the adjacent parish room. Stay up to date on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/HolyTrinityEmbleton) or look out for updates on our church notice board.

As part of our recent sustainability survey we are exploring with the Diocese how we could maintain and use the glebe land surrounding the church, making it accessible and usable. We also want to improve our online presence and develop our understanding of mission and outreach as part of our church life.
