We delight in celebrating God’s love and faithfulness through worship, prayer, and pastoral services at the key points of life’s journey: birth, marriage and bereavement. We can offer services of baptism (christening), marriage, blessing after a civil ceremony, funeral and memorials. Each of our church buildings in the Coastland Churches group offer an inspiring place to gather for worship and mark these special moments. If you’d like to talk through an occasion or arrange a service, please use the contact us page, speak to a member of the clergy team or the local Church Warden.

We welcome both children and adults for baptism, and rejoice in the opportunity to mark this moment of faith with you and your family.

Baptism is the first step on an amazing journey with God. Using symbols of oil, water and light we give thanks for the gift of life in Christ and extend a warm welcome into the life of God’s church. For babies and toddlers, promises are made on their behalf by parents and godparents, alongside family, friends and the church community.

Services of baptism can be part of Sunday morning worship or as a separate service (usually on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon). They are led by a member of the local clergy team and are free of charge. Get in touch with any questions or to begin arranging a service of baptism at one of our churches.

We would love to welcome you to one of our churches to celebrate your special day! We are set in a beautiful part of the country and many people will have a connection with one of our parishes. Whether you live in the parish or would like to establish a ‘qualifying connection’ with a particular church, we’d love to hear from you and walk with you as you plan and prepare for the big day.

We can offer a warm welcome, stunning buildings, exquisite flowers, excellent music, and work with you to create a meaningful and beautiful service for your marriage.

Losing someone you love is difficult. Each person is unique in so many ways. A funeral service  can feel overwhelming; alongside the Funeral Directors, we can help you to plan a service, whether in our church or elsewhere, that will allow you to give thanks for the particular person you knew and loved in a way that provides comfort and hope.

We also welcome you to come and pray in church, or to light a candle, or to join us at any of our services. Clergy are always available to visit you at home if you’d like to talk to someone in confidence.
