Walk of Witness for Good Friday
The walk will begin at Rock Midstead, walk to Rock where we will stop at the church for prayer and rest, then walk along a public footpath to Rennington, meeting the road into Rennington about 100 yards from the village. It is about 3.5 miles and will take about 2.5 hours with stops.
Meet at 11am at Rennington Church and park there. We will car share as much as possible to Rock Midstead where the owner of the Rocking Horse cafe has allowed us to park. 11.30 start.
Walk to Rock (0.5 hours), Rock Church (0.5 hours), Rock to Rennington (1hour), toilet breaks and eating (0.5 hours), Hour at the Cross Service at Rennington 2pm. Lifts back to collect cars from Rock Midstead and a cuppa in the cafe if desired.
Walk is on mainly flat ground and on well defined paths with only gentle slopes. There is one stile near Rock and we have to divert around one field as it is in crop. Then road for 100 yards near Rennington on footpath once in the village”.
